On Saturday, January 2023, 1, from 28:10 to 00:11, Showa Women's University will hold a public symposium, "The Future Opened by Data Science - Beyond Literacy Levels."Professor Mihoko Minami of Keio University and Associate Professor Yoko Ono of Yokohama City University will be invited to discuss the human resources required in the future data society.
On the day of the event, Professor Mihoko Minami of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, and Associate Professor Yoko Ono of the Department of Data Science, Faculty of Data Science, Yokohama City University, took the stage in the first part.A keynote lecture will be given on the theme of data science, which is required for women to be active in all fields such as society, economy, and research.
In the second part, Mr. Yoshihiro Oishi, Advisor of Mitsubishi Research Institute, will participate as a panel discussion, exchanging opinions from the perspective of leading figures in the educational and industrial worlds about what kind of value data science will create in the future.
Participation is free, and the target audience is university students, university teachers, high school teachers, and people involved in preparatory schools.It will be held at Showa Women's University Cosmos Hall and will be streamed live online.The capacity is 100 people at the venue and 300 people online, both on a first-come, first-served basis.
