Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University has begun recruiting for a special vice president for high school students, seeking a new perspective and driving force for university reform. In an effort to realize President Yutaka Yoneyama's new plan, ``Leap Beyond Global,'' the selected high school vice president will make recommendations on university management from the perspective of the younger generation.
According to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, they are recruiting one high school student special vice president, and a few other members to support and work with the special vice president. Target students are first and second year high school students as of April 1. Nationality doesn't matter. After an initial selection based on documents and a short presentation video, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University officials will conduct an online interview to determine the candidates.
The application period is until April 4th. Selection will be made in May and results will be announced in early June. The period of activities of the special vice president for high school students is scheduled to run from June to March 15. Applications can be submitted from the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Special Vice President's special website.
Leap Beyond Global is a new plan that aims to create a new university model that goes beyond traditional frameworks, and the special vice president system included in this plan actively welcomes high school students and current students into university management and reflects the opinions of the younger generation. There is a purpose to make it happen. Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University is planning to recruit special vice presidents for current students as well as high school students.
