On November 2019, 11, Kio University held the second "Postural and Motor Control Study Group for Rehabilitation" as part of its activities to support young researchers.A total of 2 people participated and lively discussions took place.
This study group is approved by the "Kio University Neurorehabilitation Research Center Open Call Study Group System" to support the holding of a highly flexible study group for young researchers and therapists in Japan who deal with specific themes related to rehabilitation. It was held with the support.This is the second time.
The purpose of the study group is to build a platform where young researchers and therapists in the field of postural and motor control in rehabilitation can discuss the interpretation and verification of clinically exhibited phenomena with a scientific attitude, and create a future research community. ..Therefore, young researchers and physiotherapists also manage the study group.
At this study group, 25 poster presentations (including poster presentations of young lecture presentations) were gathered, and a long discussion of 2 hours and 30 minutes was held between presenters and participants.In addition, a special lecture on the theme of "clinical pusher phenomenon" by Dr. Hiroaki Abe (Konankai Kohnan Hospital) and a lecture by Dr. Yosuke Tomita (Faculty of Health Sciences, Takasaki University of Health and Welfare) "Upper limb movement of stroke patients" "Position control" and lecture "Sensory substitution / complementary technology and rehabilitation by engineering means" by Professor Kazuhiro Yasuda (Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University) were also given.
