Otemon Gakuin University is aiming to develop an online internship program by calling on companies that have accepted students so far while the conventional internship is being canceled due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
At Otemon Gakuin University, under the unique new educational concept of WIL (Work-Is-Learning), which deepens learning through practice on the theme of social issues, we are exploring new forms of internship in collaboration with companies even in the terrible corona. In an attempt, I planned to develop an online internship program.
Otemon Gakuin University serves as the host, and calls on more than 250 companies and organizations with which we have interacted, such as accepting students through internships, to establish a project (development study group).We aim to develop a new internship program that can be done online by matching the needs of industry and academia.Examples of possible programs include marketing research for product planning that can be done online, lectures, and event planning such as briefing sessions.
In the future, Otemon Gakuin University will promptly recruit participating companies and launch a project (development study group), and it is expected that the online internship program will be finalized by the end of June.Subsequently, we are recruiting participating students and are considering implementing it after August.
