Keio University participated in the "Tsunashima SST Council" consisting of Panasonic, Nomura Real Estate Development, etc., and started discussions to open a new international student dormitory in "Tsunashima Sustainable Smart Town" in Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City. I announced that. This is the first attempt at Keio University to develop a student dormitory that is integrated with community development.

"Tsunashima Sustainable Smart Town" is a "non-residential space" such as technology development facilities, commercial facilities, hydrogen utilization bases, and apartments developed in collaboration with different industries on the site of Panasonic's office in Tsunashimahigashi, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama. It is a next-generation urban smart city that also has a "living space" such as an international student dormitory.

Keio University participates in the "Tsunashima SST Council" that promotes this next-generation urban smart city as an advisory member, and foreign students and Japanese students live together, teach and learn from each other, and are international on a daily basis. We are aiming to open a mixed-living international student dormitory exclusively for Keio University that fosters a sense and diversity in line with the “Machibiraki” of the “Tsunashima Sustainable Smart Town” in 2018.PanaHome Corporation is in charge of building the student dormitory, San-Otas Co., Ltd. is in charge of building ownership, and Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd. is in charge of management and operation.

Keio University was selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Top Global University Project" project in 2014 as a top university conducting world-class education and research, and will continue to be international to accept international students and promote international student exchange activities. We plan to systematically improve and expand the student dormitory.
