Kobe City University of Foreign Studies is currently recruiting teams to participate in the 12th National College Student Marketing Competition Japan (MCJ), in which students compete for world-class business and English communication skills. there isThe theme of this year's competition is "Popularization and Sales Expansion of Insect Eating (Crickets) in the Japanese and ASEAN Markets -Challenges for a Cyclic and Sustainable Food Supply-".

 The MCJ is a competition planned and implemented by a steering committee consisting of students and faculty members of Kobe City University of Foreign Studies.Participants create specific marketing plans for presentation themes (existing products and services) provided by sponsor companies every year, and compete by making presentations in English.Through this competition, we aim to improve the analytical skills, thinking skills, creativity, planning skills, communication skills, and English presentation skills of participating students, and contribute to the local economy and society by working practically to solve business problems. .

 The main sponsor (theme provider) in 2023 is Ecology Co., Ltd. A venture company from Waseda University founded in 2017, in order to realize a "sustainable ecosystem where the earth and life are healthy through food", we produce crickets in Cambodia to develop applications for insects, which are unused resources. It is sold globally as food and feed.

 The theme of this year's competition is "Popularization and Sales Expansion of Insect Eating (Crickets) in the Japanese and ASEAN Markets -Challenges for a Cyclic and Sustainable Food Supply-".The theme products are Grillo Protein (protein powder with cricket powder) and Grillo Bar (high nutrition bar with cricket powder).Select one of the theme products, create a specific marketing plan, and compete by presenting in English.

 Teams of 3 to 4 undergraduate students enrolled in Japanese universities are eligible to apply (multi-university teams are not allowed).The application and plan submission deadline must arrive by 2023:11 on Thursday, November 9, 23.The finals will be held on December 59, 2023 (Saturday) at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies Large Hall.The prize money is 12 yen for 9st place, 1 yen for 20nd place, and 2 yen for 10rd place.
