On September 2022, 9, Kio University exchanged the ``Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation with Kawai Town and Kio University'' at the Kawai Town Hall, signed by Mayor Kazuhito Kiyohara and President Masahiko Fuyuki.Kio University's comprehensive collaboration with municipalities is the 28th municipality following Nara City, Kashiba City, Yamatotakada City, Gose City, Kashihara City, Koryo Town, Ikaruga Town, Uda City, and Tawaramoto Town.
Kio University and Kawai Town have built up a friendly relationship by giving advice on school lunch recipes to the town and by having students learn how to cook school lunches as part of their training.In addition, since 2020, we have been supporting vacant houses in the town, and since 2021, we have been supporting the town toward the formulation of the town development basic ordinance.On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the town, we supported the development of a special product of Yamato's black soybean "KAWAI BLACK" and held events for local children at Umami Hillside Park.The momentum for collaboration and cooperation has increased more than ever before, leading to the conclusion of this agreement.
Currently, as an initiative to solve local problems through the class "Landscape Exercise", we are conducting a field survey of the townscape of the Samida area in the town and researching the historical building (former Mameyamaso) on the premises of the government building from the viewpoint of historical and cultural assets. is starting.In addition, preparations are underway for the end of October to propose recipes using "KAWAI BLACK" and "Stilts Quiz Rally" to deepen exchanges by getting to know each other's towns.
